Community Guidelines

We’re here to create a welcoming, supportive community for interior designers, suppliers and the people who work alongside them. Whether you’re here to make connections, discover new opportunities, learn something new or simply meet like-minded people, we want this to be a space where everyone feels comfortable getting involved.

Our events, training and online community are designed to encourage collaboration, conversation and sharing. So, whether you’re a long-established business or just starting out, we ask everyone to help make the community a positive and useful place to be.

  1. Be kind, friendly and respectful to other members.
  2. Everyone is at a different stage of their career or business, so avoid judgement and make space for different perspectives.
  3. Share your knowledge, experience and recommendations generously.
  4. We love seeing what you’re working on, but please keep self-promotion relevant and avoid unsolicited sales pitches or repeated promotion.
  5. Respect other people’s work, ideas, photography, designs and intellectual property. Always ask permission before using someone else’s content.
  6. Keep confidential information confidential. Don’t share details about another member, their clients or their projects without permission.
  7. Use the community to make genuine connections rather than collecting contact details or sending unsolicited marketing messages.
  8. At events, be mindful of others and help create an environment where everyone feels welcome – whether they’re naturally outgoing or a little more reserved.
  9. Healthy discussion and different opinions are welcome, but discrimination, harassment, bullying or deliberately offensive behaviour have no place here.
  10. If something doesn’t feel right, please let the community team know. We’d always rather hear about an issue than have someone feel uncomfortable or excluded.

A community built on collaboration

We believe the interior design industry is better when people share knowledge, make introductions and celebrate each other’s work. Our community is a place to ask questions, discover new suppliers, learn from others and find opportunities to collaborate.

You don’t need to be an expert, have a huge following or have been in the industry for years to get involved. Everyone has something to contribute, and sometimes the most useful conversations start with a simple question.

Your profile and your work

Your profile is an opportunity to showcase your business, projects, products and services and help other members discover what you do. Please make sure the information you share is accurate and keep your profile up to date.

Only upload images, text and other content that you have permission to use. If you’re sharing another person’s work, make sure they’re credited appropriately.

The same goes for anything shared within the community. Please don’t copy, reproduce or use another member’s work, ideas or content without their permission.

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access where necessary to protect the community and its members. Serious or repeated breaches of these guidelines may result in removal from the community.

Ultimately, these guidelines are here to help us create the kind of community we’d all like to be part of: friendly, useful, generous and full of good people doing good work.
